Should Financial Literacy Be Taught In School

Dealing with your finances is more challenging than ever. And even though technology makes some aspects easier . . . it also brings its own complications, including NFTs, cryptocurrency, and "buy-now-pay-later" services.

A new poll asked if high school students should be required to take a class on financial literacy . . . for things like credit scores, managing debt, and filing taxes . . . and 79% said YES. 10% said NO. And 12% aren't sure.

Not surprisingly, young adults were less likely to think they need it. Among 18- to 29-year-olds, only 62% said YES. While 91% of those 65 and older think it needs to be required.
