Kevin Smith says the plot behind his upcoming Clerks 3 was inspired by the actor's heart attack.  Smith almost died from the 2018 medical emergency.  The Wrap reports that Smith is currently working on the movie's script, which will have the main character, Randal -- played by Jeff Anderson -- suffer a heart attack and have a mid-life crisis.  This leads to Randall asking his friend Dante -- played by Brian O'Halloran -- to make a movie. Smith hinted the movie will have an extreme plot twist...

Clint Eastwood's true crime drama Richard Jewell is set to premiere November 20 at AFI Fest.  Collider reports that the movie began generating Oscars buzz after releasing its trailer earlier this month.  The movie features Oscar winners Kathy Bates and Sam Rockwell -- as well as John Hamm and Olivia Wilde. The movie, which is based on true events, follows Richard Jewell, a security guard who finds a bomb at the 1996 Atlanta bombing but quickly becomes the FBI's main suspect.  Jewell then teams up with an anti-establishment lawyer to clear his name...

Kirsten Dunst has replaced Elizabeth Moss in The Power Of The Dog.  Deadline reports that Moss exited the Jane Campion movie due to scheduling conflicts.  Dunst is currently in negotiations and, once finalized, she will join Benedict Cumberbatch and Paul Dano in the film adaption of the 1967 novel of the same name -- written by Thomas Savage -- that follows the lives of two wealthy brothers who have polar opposite personalities.  Dunst will reportedly play a local widow that marries Dano's character...

Netflix dropped its ultra-creepy trailer of Atlantics, which is a ghost love story "with a twist."  SlashFilm reports that the film previously debuted at this year's Cannes Film Festival, winning the Grand Prix award and substantial Oscar buzz.  The film -- which is set in Dakar, Senegal -- follows a woman named Ada who has a supernatural experience when the ghost of a lover lost at sea returns to her.  Atlantics arrives in theaters November 15 and premieres on Netflix on November 29... 

The original singing voice of young Simba in Disney's The Lion King revealed he turned down Disney's two million dollar offer for his work on the 1994 movie.  Yahoo! reports that Jason Weaver, 40,  says he declined the offer because it came with a caveat -- he would allegedly forfeit his royalties.  Weaver, who was a teen at the time, says his mother talked him out of taking the money because Disney was known for re-releasing its movies, and "those with royalties in their contracts would receive a nice, hefty check," he says.  Weaver claims he has since received $1.9 million in royalties and says he is glad his patience paid off.  ABC News is owned by Disney...

James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly are expecting their sixth child.  “Thrilled beyond belief to announce that another little bundle of joy has picked us to be their family,” The Dawson's Creek alum and current contestant on ABC's Dancing with the Stars wrote on Instagram alongside a shot of his family on Monday.  The couple, who tied the knot in 2010, are already parents to daughters Olivia, nine, Emilia, three, Annabel Leah, five, and Gwendolyn, one, as well as seven-year-old son Joshua. Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC...

Underworld director Len Wiseman has been tapped to helm Ballerina, a female-centric spinoff of the popular John Wick movies, according to Deadline.  Ballerina will follow a young female assassin -- introduced in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellumin, released earlier this year -- who seeks revenge against the people who killed her family.  There's no word yet if John Wick star Keanu Reeves will make an appearance in the spinoff...

Netflix has announced November 8 as the launch date for its new animated series Green Eggs and Ham, based on the classic book by Dr. Seuss.  The series, from co-producer Ellen DeGeneres, features a stellar cast, including Adam Devine, Michael Douglas, Ilana Glazer, Diane Keaton, Eddie Izzard, Tracy Morgan and Keegan-Michael Key.  The plot revolves around a pair of opposites named Guy and Sam -- voiced by Douglas and Devine, respectively -- who hit the road road trip to save an endangered animal, while also learning to try new things, including that famous delicacy...

Elizabeth Marvel, who played resident Elizabeth Keane on Homeland, has joined The Royals' Tom Austen and Succession and Fear the Walking Dead's Sydney Lemmon in Marvel’s upcoming live-action horror series Helstrom, according to Deadline.  Marvel will play the long-institutionalized Victoria Helstrom in the 10-episode first season.  Austen and Lemmon will play supposed serial-killer offspring Daimon Helstrom and Ana Helstrom, respectively, according to the entertainment website.  Helstrom is set to launch sometime in 2020...
