Zachary Quinto, who plays Mr. Spock in the new Star Trek films, is once again following in the footsteps of the late Leonard Nimoy. Quinto has been tapped to host the real-life mystery series In Search of... for the History channel. The show is an update of the long-running series that ran from 1977 to 1982, which Nimoy hosted after original host Rod Serling's death in 1975. Incidentally, X-Files star Mitch Pileggi hosted a reboot of the show that launched in 2002...

Variety reports the CW has ordered six new drama pilots, including a reboot of the sci-fi series Roswell, which originally aired from 1999-2000 on The WB. The reboot, based on the Roswell High book series by Melinda Metz, reportedly follows the daughter of undocumented immigrants who returns to her hometown of Roswell, New Mexico, and reconnects with her high school crush, who she learns is actually an alien. A series of events threatens to expose him and destroy their romance. Dawson's Creek and Everwood showrunner Greg Berlanti will produce the as yet untitled series...

Showtime has officially canceled Andrew Dice Clay's semi-autobiographical series Dice, according to Deadline. The series, which revolved around the comedian's struggle to balance his career and family, while dealing with his "Diceman" image, was a victim of poor ratings...
