Prince Harry, fifth in line to the British throne, is engaged to American actress Meghan Markle, Kensington Palace announced today.
"His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle. The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course," a statement released Monday by Kensington Palace read.
Harry, 33, proposed to Markle, 36, in London.

Seth Meyers has officially been tapped to host the 75th Golden Globe Awards, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association confirmed on Friday. The host of NBC's Late Night follows his fellow Saturday Night Live alums, Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who also have hosted the ceremony in recent years. Meyers' previous hosting gigs include the 2010 ESPYs and the 2014 Primetime Emmys, as well as the 2011 White House Correspondents Dinner, in which he famously roasted then-Apprentice host Donald Trump. Universal has pulled the upcoming sci-fi thriller Extinction, starring Ant Man's Michael Peña and Now You See Me 2 and Allied's Lizzy Caplan, from its January 26 release date, sources tell Variety. The film centers on Pena's character, whose recurring nightmare of losing his family becomes a reality when Earth is invaded by aliens. No official reason was given for the change, but the industry trade notes the film faced stiff competition from Maze Runner: The Death Cure and the Matthew McConaughey-led crime drama White Boy Rick. Pena next will be seen in Disney's A Wrinkle in Time, opening nationwide in March. Caplan stars opposite James Franco and Kristen Bell in The Disaster Artist, bowing December 7. Giacomo Gianniotti, who plays Andrew DeLuca on the ABC medical drama Grey's Anatomy, popped the question to his girlfriend, makeup artist Nichole Gustafson, over Thanksgiving weekend, he announced via Instagram on Sunday. “She said yes,” he captioned a photo of the couple sharing a smooch. “I am truly one lucky guy, and I wouldn't rather be walking down this crazy road of life with anyone else.
