Three people are in custody following a high-speed chase in Sawyer County.

The incident began just before 4am Sunday morning when a Sawyer County Deputy observed a red pickup truck with no plates being followed by a silver car.

The truck tried to evade police and led the deputy on at high-speed chase at speeds close to 100 MPH.

The pickup truck stopped briefly on County highway KK, and an adult male and child exited the vehicle. The truck then took off again down a dead-end road, while the silver car came by the deputy and drove over some spike strips but continued down the road.

Police recovered both vehicles and arrested 26-year old Michael Coupe Jr. for an active felony arrest warrant and possession of 18 grams of heroin.

Also arrested were 22-year old Casey McKnight for operating after revocation, and 19-year old Davine Wade for an active arrest warrant.
