Investigators say a three car crash in Barron County Saturday morning was probably caused by inattentive driving.

It happened just before 10am Saturday on County Highway SS, south of Cameron.

According to the Barron County Sheriff's Department, a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Donald Mrotek of Hayward was stopping to make a left turn into a driveway when a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Brandon Lindner of Barron hit Mrotek's vehicle from behind, pushing it into the northbound lane of SS, and colliding with a third vehicle driven by 83-year-old Fritz Brandenburg of Chetek.  Bradenburg's vehicle then went off the road and rolled over.

A passenger, 68-year-old Cheryl Brandenburg of Chetek was extricated from the vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Fritz Brandenburg was transported by Helicopter to a hospital in Eau Claire with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Mrotek was treated at the scene and released, and Lindner was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and given a ticket for inattentive driving.
