Chippewa Moraine State Rec Area Master Plan Gets Update

The Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area master plan is in the process of being updated, and Department of Natural Resources staff has produced a set of recreation development recommendations for public review. 

The development recommendations include two alternatives for recreation offerings at Hodge Lake, which is the old Sybaquay Girl Scout Camp site.

A public meeting will be held Tuesday, March 21, from 4-7pm. at the David R. Obey Ice Age Interpretive Center, located seven miles east of New Auburn and 1.9 miles east of State Highway 40 and County Highway “M”.  

Draft recreation recommendations for the Chippewa Moraine State Recreation Area are open for public review through Tuesday, March 28.
