Bewley Introduces Bill To End Tax Breaks For The Rich, Fix Rural Roads

State Senator Janet Bewley, a Democrat who represents the 25th Senate District in Northwest Wisconsin, has introduced legislation that would repeal the manufacturing and agricultural tax credit and use the money to repair roads and bridges in rural Wisconsin.  

Bewley says the tax break currently benefits only a handful of millionaires and would return more than a hundred million dollars to Wisconsin counties for transportation needs, and a similar amount to the state’s towns, villages and cities.
