A $10,000 cash bond has been set for a man charged with Hit-and-Run death in Burnett County. 36-year old Domminic Haugen, of Radisson was in Burnett County Circuit Court yesterday and faces charges of Class D Felony Hit-and-Run, stemming from an investigation into the death of a woman in Burnett County in June 2016, when a woman’s body was found on the side of County Road X about a ¼ mile north of County Road B in the Town of Dewey in Burnett County.

Investigators believe Haugen had reason to know that he had struck someone or something and failed to stop and investigate, with the result of the incident being the death of the victim.

After striking the victim, Haugen allegedly drove his vehicle home to clean it, then used animal blood to cover up the damage.

Haugen also faces charges in Sawyer County for Manufacturing and Delivering Amphetamine and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and Disorderly Conduct. A Preliminary Examination Hearing on Haugen's Felony charge is scheduled for next week.
